OVERVIEW The Marshal Stars were formed in 2003 by Michael John [Vocals & Guitar], Barry Dillon [Drums] and James O'Brien [Bass Guitar]. 2003 also saw the release of their debut single, 'First Shot'. The following year, the trio continued to release new material in the form of 'Sixes High' EP and 'My Girl & I' single. The band were beginning to attract some serious attention. At the end of 2004, the band signed a deal with Mercury / Vertigo. The following year, the band started work on their debut album. By the end of 2005, they had decided that a name change was required and The Marshal Stars became The Marshals. 2003 - Band formed in late Summer - Release of debut single, 'First Shot' 2004 - Release of 'Sixes High E.P.'
