OVERVIEW Formed in 2012, The Mariannes is a Dublin-based alt-folk band which also integrates elements of blues and country. The group currently features a line up Lisa Loughrey [Vocals & Guitar], Joe Maher [Lead Guitar], Eamon Cassidy [Bass Guitar], Gtheirearóid Ó'Broin [Piano, Guitar & Banjo], Jack Cassidy [Mandolin & Glockenspiel] and Nathan Maher [Drums & Vocals]. There may have been different players in some earlier incarnations of the group. In 2014, the band won the inaugural 'Clancy Brothers Songwriting Award' with the lead track from their 'Lost With All Hands'. The EP itself was released in April 2015 and also included 'Mama Please', 'God Fearing Woman' and 'Ache In My Heart'.
