OVERVIEW Madra is a rock band from Dublin. The group, which takes its name from the Irish word for 'dog', originally came together in 2006 as a 4-piece. That lineup included Noel Gleeson [Vocals & Guitar], Steve Carley [Bass Guitar] and Darragh Dalton [Drums]. Madra has since slimmed down to a trio with Mark Phelan replacing Steve on bass guitar. The band's sound is heavily influenced by the music of the 1960s and 1970s with the likes of The Beatles and David Bowie being obvious inspirations. To date, Madra has released one EP, 'Humanerism' which appeared in early 2010.
