DUNSHAUGHLIN, CO. MEATH | 2014 - |
OVERVIEW Anthony Mackey is, by now, one of the elder statesmen of the Irish rock scene. The Dunshaughlin man has been plying his trade for three decades - first as part of Here Be Monsters in the early 1990s and, most famously as part of Large Mound. He is, of course, a talent artist in his own right. In 2011, Anthony released a body of material under the Like There's No Tomorrow. However, it was in 2014 that he released a first album under his own name. The album 'Still Metal' was released at the end of September and showed that he had lost none of his creative edge. While touring the album, Anthony assembled a group of musicians who would become The Middle Ages and go on to release further material under this name. 2014 - Release of 'Still Metal' album [29 September] |
