LIMERICK | 200x - 2007 |
OVERVIEW The Low Network are Jennifer McMahon, Kieran Calvert and Fergal Lawler. The band come from from Limerick City, Ireland and have spent the last year in their studio just outside the city recording tracks for an album due for release in 2007. The Low Network sound is exciting and refreshing and is the product of many combined years of experience and the diverse influences Jenny, Kieran and Fergal bring with them into the studio. Kieran and Fergal had previously played with bands from Limerick, Kieran with Woodstar and Fergal with The Cranberries, however they had recently started working on their own material. After running into each other at a local venue in late 2005, they agreed to swap tracks. Having spent a few weeks working seperately they got together to hear the results and seeing the potential to develop their music together, formed what was to become The Low Network. Having recorded a number of tracks, Kieran and Fergal then asked Jenny to sit in on a session. Jenny had sung previously with a number of local bands and had been looking for something a little different. The session proved to be a success and the first of many. You can hear some of the results here on The Low Network. 2007 - The band decide to go call a halt to The Low Network [October] |
