OVERVIEW The Lofires is a Dublin-based rock and country group. The band centres around Niall Toner Jr. [ex-The Dixons, Those Handsome Devils & Hank Halfhead & The Rambling Turkeys] and Johnny Rowen [ex-Pelvis]. The pair started working together in 2009, sharing songwriting and vocal duties along the way. In 2010, the pair were joined by Les Keye [ex-Wilde Oscars] on bass guitar and Paul Cantwell on drums. In the Summer of 2011, the band started work on their debut album Their self-titled debut was released in October 2012 to positive reviews. In 2014, the band recorded the track 'I Don't Want To Hear It Anymore' for the Record Store Gay 2014 compilation. 2009 - Band formed 2010 - Les Keye [Bass Guitar] and Paul Cantwell [Drums] join the band 2012 - Release of 'The Lofires' album [October] 2014 - The Lofires contribute the track 'I Don't Want ToHear It Anymore' to the Record Store Gay 2014 compilation [April]
