DERRY 2012 - 2014
OVERVIEW
Little Bear was an alternative rock band from Derry. The quarter came together in 2012 with a line up of Steven McCool [Bass Guitar & Vocals], Mark O'Doherty [Drums], Ryan Griffith [Guitar] and Conor Mason [Piano] -Mark and Ryan being cousins and Conor having a solid body of work already under his belt. The band built up a loyal following on the back of beautifully crafted songs and emotive live performances.

One of Little Bear's proudest achievements came in 2013 when Other Voices came to Derry. The band were scheduled to play a show on the Saturday in St. Agustine's Church. The lads duly complied and obviously made an impact. When headliners Two Door Cinema Club had to pull out at short notice. Little Bear were asked to fill the void. Conor also had a solo performance to squeeze into the achedule!!!

In May of that year, the band released its debut single 'I'd Let You Win Again'. A second single, the double A-side 'Night Dries Like Ink / Killer' followed in October.

In early 2014, the band decided to change its name as 'Little Bear' was already trademarked in the US. So Little Bear was consigned to history but its spirit lives on in Ports.
