OVERVIEW Legion Of Ape is an alternative rock band from Santry. The group was formed in 2007 by brothers James and Brian Edwards. James provided vocal and guitar duties and Brian was the drummer. That early lineup of the also featured John Quinn on bass guitar. However, John was replaced by Leigh Fitzpatrick in 2008. That year also featured one of the highlights of the band's career to date with an appearance at the Glastonbury Festival. In December of 2009, the trio released a debut EP entitled 'Decelerator'. Along with the title track, the EP also featured 'Electrobution' and '3-Minute Wonder'. In October 2011, the group was chosen as one of 10 artists to feature on the 'Backstage Pass ::: Vol 1' compilation which was given away with the Irish Daily Mail newspaper.
