OVERVIEW The Led Farmers are a folk-fusion band based in Dublin. The group features Brendan Walsh [Banjo], Ross O'Farrell [Guitar & Bouzouki] and Glenn Malone [Percussion]. Tony Simmons and Mark Byrne each performed bass guitar duties at one time or another. Ross and Glenn had previously performed with Tallaght band, Common Wolf. The Led Farmers sound has been described as 'folk-fusion' and the band boasts a repertoire which is a rich mixture of traditional Irish tracks and original compositions. The band unveiled its debut album, 'Lucy' with a gig at The Workman's Club in Dublin in January 2015. The record had been recorded in Switzerland and featured tracks such as 'Dirty Old Town' and 'Paddy On The Railway' as well as original compositions like 'Drinking With The Lads' and 'Cheannaigh Mé Mo Chroí'. 2015 - Release of 'Lucy'album [23 January] |
