DUBLIN | 2001 - |
OVERVIEW Las Vegas Basement is Dublin-based band which has been active since 2001. The line up features Gerard Eaton [Vocals & Keyboards], Tom McDonald [Guitar], Keith Farrell [Bass Guitar] and Aidan O'Grady [Drums]. The band's sound pays homage to 1960s rock 'n' roll. In 2003, Las Vegas Basement released its debut album, 'End Of An Era'. Whether it was 'difficult second album syndrome' or not, the group's sophomore record was a long time in the offing - 9 years to be exact. However, the quartet re-emerged in April 2012 with a new long player entitled 'Cheap Guitars & Pretty Girls'. During the second half of the 2000s, the band members became involved in a number of projects. Tom teamed up with the reformed Loko Parentis. Keith played with a string of bands including Halite and Slumberjet. Aidan went on to drum with pop legends, The Pale before later joining his old band mate, Keith, as part of Slumberjet. 2001 - Band formed 2003 - Release of 'End Of An Era' album [21 March] 2012 - Release of 'Cheap Guitars & Pretty Girls' album [09 April] |
