DUBLIN 2011 -
OVERVIEW
Dermot Lambert has been an integral part of the Irish music scene for the best part of 30 years. Dermot made his first appearance as a member of Empty Shell in the mid 1980s. That band, which also featured Ellen Leahy on keyboards, released the single 'If Heavens Waiting' in 1986. After that band dissolved, Dermot teamed up with Ellen once more as part of Rex & Dino who released a pair of singles at the end of the 1980s. Next up for Dermot was Blink. Blink was one of those bands that 'almost made it'. The band burst on to the scene in 1993 releasing a string of infuriatingly catchy singles including 'Going To Nepal', 'Happy Day' and 'It's Not My Fault'. The band released three albums during its career. However, the breakthrough remained elusive and Blink finally disbanded in about 2007.

Since this time, Dermot has remained heavily involved in the music industry albeit in a different capacity. He has been involved with both Garageland and Ashtown Recording Studios.

In about 2010, Dermot started working on material for his debut solo album (provisionally entitled 'Tiny'). Over the following months, Dermot completed the writing and recording process. In November 2012, he released his debut solo EP, 'Twinkle Twinkle Satellite'. The new year saw a new single with 'A Bank In Brazil' released in February 2013.
