OVERVIEW

Laoise Kelly is a harpist from Co. Mayo. Her musical odyssey started at a young age. By her mid-teens, she was playing with a group of musicians from across Mayo under the name Ciabh Rua. Over the following years, Bumblebees released a couple of acclaimed albums and played around the country and abroad.

In 1999, Laoise released her debut album 'Just Harp'. There was a considerable gap to her sophomore album, 'Ceis' which followed in 2010. However, in the meantime Laoise collaborated with a multitude of artists including Mirella Murray, Carmina, Kate Bush and Sinead O'Connor. She also contributed tracks to a number of compilations Laoise also collbaorated with Michelle O'Brien on the album 'The Wishing Well' which was recorded live at The Dock in Carrick On Shannon on 27th October 2010.
