DUBLIN 2009 -
OVERVIEW
Jody Has A Hitlist is a punk-pop band based in Dublin. The group was formed in April 2009 after the breakup of other musical projects such as Steer Clear. The first incarnation of the band featured Pádraig McAlister [Vocals & Guitar], Conor Ebbs [Bass Guitar], Kelan O'Reilly [Keyboards & Vocals], Des Foley [Guitar] and Francis McDonnell [Drums], Since then Des was replaced by Jay Boland who in turn was replaced by Ben Hogan on lead guitar. In 2012, Kevin O'Shea picked up drumming duties from Francis McDonnell.

After the band's formation, Jody Has A Hitlist quickly found themsleves in studio. These sessions resulted in the band's self-titled debut EP which appeared in May of 2009. The single included 'Just Over A Year','Nobody's Looking At You' and 'Walk It Off Son'. By the end of the year, the band had released a second single, 'You Used To Be Fun'. The single was backed with a remix of 'Nobody's Looking At You'.

In early 2010, the band was nominated in the 'Most Promising New Artist' category at the Meteor Music Awards. That year also saw the band complete the recording of its second EP. With Matt O'Grady at the helm, the band laid down the tracks which would form the 'Boy Caught Envy' EP. As well as the lead track, the EP also included 'See You Around' and 'Remember This Forever'.

In April 2011, the band released its most substantial recording to date. 'Choose Your Battles' contained 6 tracks in total. One of these tracks 'Comebacks Aren't Your Thing' was originally recorded by Pádraig and Conor's previous band, Steer Clear.
