DUBLIN 2012 -
OVERVIEW
Gavin James is a singer-songwriter from Dublin. Gavin has been surrounded by music all his life - from listening to his parents records to playing in bands and, ultimately, striking out on his own. In his short career to date, he has shown himself to be fine songwriter with a unique, soulful voice.

His impact on the Irish music scene was almost immediate. Gavin self-released his debut single, 'Say Hello' in 2012. In January 2013, the song was nominated for the Choice Music Prize - Irish Song Of The Year and Gavin went on to win the award at first time of asking. On the back of this success, he released his second EP, 'Remember Me' in October.

In early 2015, Gavin released his 'Live At Whelan's' album. The album had some success in Belgium and Holland, charting in both countries. Gavin then turned his attention to his debut studio album. The recording took place in London and Los Angeles with Fraser T. Smith and Cam Blackwood on production duties. In early 2016, Gavin's song 'Bitter Pill' was nominated for the Choice Music Prize - Irish Song Of The Year. He went on to win the award for the second time in his career. His debut record 'Bitter Pill' followed hot on the heels of the award and was very well received both in Ireland and abroad.

2017 saw Gavin combine with Danny Avila to release a remixed version of 'I Don't Know Why'.
