OVERVIEW Glen Hansard is, perhaps, best known as being the main driving force behind The Frames, however, however, he has constantly taken the opportunity to perform and record as a solo artist. This culminated with the release in 2006 of his first full solo album, The Swell Season. Whiile Glen continued to perform and record with his other musical projects, he also continued to record an tour as a solo artist in his own right. His second solo album, 'Rhythm And Response' was released in 2015 with a third record, 'Didn't He Ramble' following in 2105. 2000 - Release of 'A Caution To The Birds' single as part of a split release with Songs : Ohio [06 December] 2003 - Glenn performs as part of the second series of Other Voices, Songs From A Room which was recorded in St. James Church in Dingle. The series is broadcast on RTE Television in the Spring of 2004. 2005 - Glen features on the 'Kachina' single release by Eoin Duignan 2006 - Release of 'The Swell Season' album [21 April] 2008 - Glen Hansard is nominated in the Best Irish Male category in the Meteor Ireland Music Awards - Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova win the Best Original Song Oscar for 'Falling Slowly' - Release of 'Falling Slowly' single 2010 - Release of 'The Auld Triangle' single along with Damien Dempsey [03 December] 2012 - Release of 'Rhythm And Response' album [19 June] 2015 - Release of 'Didn't He Ramble' album [18 September] |
