He has been active on the Irish music scene since the early part of the 1980s. At this time, he was the front man with Those Handsome Devils. With that band, he released a couple of singles in the middle part of the 1980s. When the band dissolved towards the end of the decade, Sean continued on as a solo artist. In 1993, he contributed the track 'Magic Shoes' to the 'My Favourite Things' compilation. Five years later, Sean recorded the track 'Wear My Ring Around Your Neck' with An Emotional Fish for the 'Natural Born Elvis' tribute album. He released an album entitled 'Further Down That Rocky Road' in 2007.
