TUAM, CO. GALWAY 2005 -
OVERVIEW
Graduating from Trinity College, Dublin in 2002 with a Masters in Music and Media Technologies, she has been working as a professional choral singer and composer. She has performed and recorded all over the world with various ensembles on numerous cds, dvds and broadcasts. Her own concert compositions have been performed in Ireland, the U.K. and America. She has composed for contemporary dance and recently for two short films. From Carnegie Hall to Queen Elizabeth Hall in London and from Brazil to China, she is now embarking on her debut solo offering.

2005
- Release of debut album '13 Songs'
- Julie Feeney performs as part of the fourth series of Other Voices, Songs From A Room which was recorded in St. James Church in Dingle. The series is broadcast on RTE Television in the Spring of 2006.
2006
- Julie Feeney is nominared for the inaugural Choice Music Awards for her album '13 Songs' [January]
- Julie Feeney wins the inaugural 'Choice Music Award'. She received a cheque for €10,000 as well as a specially commissioned glass award for her debut album, '13 Songs'. The Choice Music Prize aims to highlight those albums which deserve extra time in the spotlight and to select the album which best sums up the year in Irish music. [28 February]
