OVERVIEW The Fontanels is an alternative band from Dundalk. The outfit came together in the middle of 2007 with a lineup which included brothers Ciaran [Vocals & Guitar] and Gavin Wynne [Guitar] along with Paddy Martin [Bass Guitar], Shalom Coburn [Keyboards & Vocals], Facundo Rodriguez Delgado [Drums] and Dervilla Hynes [Trumpet]. Dervilla has since left the group. The band draw on a wide variety of musical influences to create a unique sound. This includes everything from funk and hip hop to latino rhythms. In 2010, the band unveiled a debut EP simply entitled 'We Are The Fontanels'. The collection gathers together five tracks including 'Vatastival', 'Terrified' and 'Operation Mayhem'. 2007 - Band formed 2010 - Release of 'We Are The Fontanels' EP 2011 - Dervilla Hynes leaves the band due to health reasons
