DUBLIN 2011 -
OVERVIEW
Factions is a Dublin-based rock band which is active since about 2011. The group centres arounf the duo of Lucy Jane and Mick Earley. The pair have been playing together over a number of years. These projects have included Tokin, Tailor Made Project and Burma Shade. The full line up of the group is Lucy Jane Earley [Vocals], Mick Earley [Guitar], Ronan McCormack [Guitar], Robin Ball [Drums], Richard Doran-Sherlock [Guitar], James McCahey [Synths, Samples, Loops & Percussion] and Jane McCullough [Backing Vocals].

2012 was a huge year for Factions. The band released its debut EP, 'Looms' in April. The summer was spent playing the festival circuit with appearances at the Electric Picnic and Knockanstockan. The year rounded off with Factions walking away with the 'Best Alternative/Rock Act' title at the MRU Awards.

Lucy also finds time to perfrom with Your Heart Is A Drum Machine along with former Burma Shade band mate Dermot Bohan [aka Tom Red].
