OVERVIEW Exploding Eyes is a Dublin-based psych-rock band. The group was formed in August 2013 by a trio of musicians with a strong rock pedigree. Robbie Brady [Bass Guitar, Vocals & Theremin] has previously played with The Things and Cheap Freaks, Al Dodd [Guitar & Vocals] cut his musical teeth DC Pakt and Cheap Freaks while Brian Gallagher was the drummer with Humanzi. The band takes its influence from the likes of Cream, John Mayall and Eno. In April 2014, the group recorded a version of 'Jet Boy Jet Girl' for the 'Record Store Gay 2014' compilation. In September of the same year, the trio released its first single - the double A-side 'I Panic // Levitate'. The band had been building a reputation as an exceptional live experience. In October 2015, Exploding Eyes performed as part of the Hard Working Class Working Class Heroes festival in Dublin. January 2016, saw the release of the group's second single, 'We Need Love'. The single was produced by Jim Diamond, who has also worked with the likes of The White Stripes.
