OVERVIEW Elk is a hardcore band based in Cork. The band features the brothers Lewis and Matt Hedigan. Matt plays Bass Guitar and provides vocals. His brother is the drummer and also sings. The lineup is completed by Shane O'Sullivan [Guitar, Vocals & Synths]. An earlier version of the band also featured Barry O'Sullivan [Synth & Vocals]. Barry also plays with I'll Eat Your Face. The band's sound is an eclectic mix of everything from hardcore to pop. Elk released its debut album, 'We Should Start Out Own Gang' in January 2009. 2009 - Release of 'We Should Start Our Own Gang' album [January] 2011 - Release of 'Wet Stars' as a split 7" single with Crayonsmith [25 November]
