KILCOCK, CO. KILDARE | TBC - |
OVERVIEW Eithne was the performance name of Eithne Ní Chatháin. She hails from Kilcock in Co. Kildare and has been immersed in music since an early age. In fact, it was her grandfather who introduced her to the fiddle at the age of four. Eithne started learning to sing in the sean-nós style from the age of ten. As time went by, Eithne developed her skills as a performer. In 2005, Eithne contributed vocals and double bass to Luka Bloom's album 'Innocence'. The following year, she unveiled her debut album simply entitled 'Eithne'. The album draws its inspiration from Eithne's traditional musical background. In more recent times, Eithne has continued to experiment with instruments, styles and techniques. To reflect this change of direction, Eithne now goes by the name Inni-K. In 2012, Inni-K released her debut EP, 'Gentle Star'. 2006 - Release of 'Eithne' album |
