OVERVIEW Grainne Duffy is an Americana and Blues singer from Castleblayney, Co. Managhan. She emerged onto the scene as a solo artist in about 2007. However, she has been involved with music for several years. She completed a degree in music at NUI, Maynooth. After this she did session work across the continent. Later she toured with the band Shanco. However, it's since she's gone solo that her reputation has been building. 2008 proved to be a key year for the artist. She was invited to perform for 3 days at the Glastonbury Festival. In November of that year, she released her debut album, 'Out Of The Dark'.
