OVERVIEW

Dragonfly was a rock band which was active between 1991 and 1994. The group featured a line up which included Mick Duff [Vocals & Guitar], Colm Quearney [Guitar], Shane Fitzsimons [Bass Guitar] and John Coghlan [Drums]. The members are believed to have been attending Ballyfermot Rock Shool at the time. It's not known if the band released any material. However, Dragonfly contributed two tracks to a RockHall Records compilation in 1993. The two tracks in question were 'Spooky Truth' and 'Open'.

After the band split in 1994, Colm went on to join Lir with whom he played until 1999. After this, he went solo either under his own name or simply as Q. Shane went on to play bass with Mundy, Label and The Carnival Saloon. He has also played and recorded with Damien Rice for several years.
