BELFAST 199x -
OVERVIEW
Desert Hearts is an indie-pop band from Belfast. The group was formed in the late 1990s with an original lineup of Charley Mooney [Vocals & Guitar], Roisin Stewart [Bass Guitar & Vocals] and Chris Heaney [Drums]. Since then the lineup has continued to evolve with Charley and Roisin remaining the only constants. The most recent lineup sees the pair joined by Stephen Leacock [Drums] and Stuart Bell [Guitar] both of whom play with General Fiasco. Joseph Dougan and Martin Henry have also played with the band at varying times.

While the band has been around for a relatively long time, it has not been prolific in rreleasing material. To date, the group has released two albums - 'Let's Get Worse' [2002] and 'Hotsy Totsy Nagasaki' [2006'] as well as a handful of singles - 'No More art' [2000], 'Ocean' [2004], 'Gravitas' [2004] and 'Wolf Down' [2012]. The latest of these, 'Wolf Down' is the first new material from the band in a number of years and is the first sample from the band's, as yet untitled, third album which is scheduled to be released in 2012.
