OVERVIEW DC Tempest is a Dublin-based indie-rock band. The group blends together elements of rock and electronica to create its own sound. The five-piece came together in 2006 and the current lineup is Alan Malone [Vocals & Guitar], Lee Tomkins [Guitar, Keyboards & Vocals], Seán Hurley [Guitar, Keyboards & Vocals], Andrew Beatty [Drums] and Paul Higgins [Bass Guitar & Vocals]. However, the band has included many other members over the years. The group burst on to the scene in 2008 with the release of the 'Into The Light' EP in May. The band built on this strong start with a second single, 'Coming Back Around' in October of the same year. 2009 proved to be a busy year for the band. There were a number of lineup changes as well as a 3rd single, 'Imagination' which was released in May of that year. The band returned to the scene after an absence of a couple of years with the 'Cities' EP in August 2011. 2006 - Band formed 2008 - Release of 'Into The Light' E.P.
