| OVERVIEW Darkest Era is a five piece metal band from Northern Ireland. The line up features Dwane Maguire [Vocals], Sarah Wieghell [Guitar], Ade Mulgrew [Guitar], David Lindsay [Bass Guitar] and Lisa Howe [Drums]. The five originally came together in 2005 as Nemesis. They went on to record a self-titled demo in 2006 before deciding on a name change in 2007. And so Darkest Era was born. The band's sound is celtic rock in nature with obvious Thin Lizzy influences. The band also takes inspiration from Irish folk music. In May 2008, Darkest Era released its debut EP entitled 'The Journey Through Damnation'. The lead track of the collection was 'The Morrigan'. In March 2010, 'The Oak Sessions' EP was made available as 250-copy limited release. All the time, the band was working on its debut long player.
