GOREY, CO. WEXFORD DATES
OVERVIEW
Jimi Cullen is a solo musician from Gorey in Co. Wexford, Ireland. He has been writing and performing for about two years now and has already left a definite mark on the Irish music scene. He has played well over 200 gigs all over Ireland and has supported the likes of Paddy Casey, The Revs, Roesy and Aslan. His debut e.p. "Anthems for the doomed youth pt.1" was released to good acclaim last year and has since sold 600 copies. He has just began work on his debut album with plans for a summer release. Jimi's music can best be described as a mix between Folk, Grunge, Blues and Rock mixed with a healthy dose of originality. His lyrics are often quite politically and socially aware with songs about War, Refugee's, Poverty and the Homeless, but often humouress too with songs like "Hangover Blues" and "Talking Religion Blues" and of course some songs are simply of love's won and love's lost. His Debut album will be released on Real Records
