OVERVIEW Dave Couse came to fame as the lead man in the legendary outfit A-House. The band, formed out the ashes of Last Chance, released a string of critically acclaimed singles ['Call Me Blue', 'I'll Always Be Grateful' and 'Endless Art'] as well as five equally strong long-players. However, the band failed to convert the critical acceptance into commercial success and the inevitable split came about in 1997. Couse was to continue in the music business and, over the following years, was involved in a number of projects. The only output from this period was a single 'Next Time Round' which was released by Lokomotiv. In 2003, Couse re-emerged with his debut solo album, 'Genes'. Once again, the collection was well received. This was followed in 2005 by 'The World Should Know'. This time out, he was supported by his backing band, The Impossible. The record spawned the singles 'Batman & Robin' and 'A Celebration'. Couse went on to diversify as a producer and radio presenter. This meant that it took five years before his third album, 'Alone Walk' was released. This was a more mellow and orchestral affair. He collaborated with his long-term musical partner, Fergal Bunbury as well as cellist Rike Söller. Former Microdisney and Fatima Mansions singer, Cathal Coughlan adds vocals on the track 'Good Friday'. 2003 - Release of 'Genes' album 2005 - Release of 'Batman And Robin' single [16 September] - Release of 'The World Should Know' album [21 October] - Couse And The Impossible perform as part of the fourth series of Other Voices, Songs From A Room which was recorded in St. James Church in Dingle.
