OVERVIEW

Crocodile Tears was a short-lived band from Ballinteer, Co. Dublin. The group predates better known groups such as The Coletranes and Revelino. The line up included Brendan Tallon [Vocals & Guitar], Barry Woodley [Bass Guitar], Bren Berry [Guitar & Vocals] and Shane Rafferty [Drums]. The band is not known to have released any material. However, on 9th November 1987, the quartet recorded a session for the Dave Fanning show on 2FM. This session featured 3 tracks 'Goodbye Susie-Ann', 'Tuesday Morning' and 'Susie Sweetness'.

In 1998, the band changed bassist with Ian O'Donoghue taking over from Barry Woodley and group became The Coletranes. As The Coletranes, the band released a solitary single 'I Wake Up' before they too shed their bass guitarist. Revelino was the group which emerged out of the ashes of The Coletranes. That band achieved critical acclaim and a modest amount of success before coming to an end at the start of the 2000s. Brendan and Shane later performed as part of BeatClub, an events band. In 2012, Brendan re-emerged as one hald of Saturday Captains.
