OVERVIEW The Cranberry Saw Us is, perhaps, better known for the band that it became rather than the band that it was. For the departure of Niall Quinn in 1990 led to the recruitment of Dolores O'Riordan as vocalist the creation of The Cranberries who were to become one of the most commercially successful Irish bands of all time. Prior to Quinn leaving, he was joined in the band by Noel Hogan [Guitar & Vocals], Mike Hogan [Bass Guitar] and Fergal Lawler [Drums] The Cranberry Saw Us was only in existence for a short period of time during which time the band played a handful of gigs and recorded a couple of demo tapes and released one cassette single entitled 'Nothing Left At All'. 1989 - The Cranberry Saw Us are formed in Limerick 1990 - The Cranberry Saw Us record a 4-track demo - Niall Quinn decides to leave The Cranberry Saw Us to pursue his fortunes with The Hitchers. - The band played their first gig with Dolores O'Riordan on vocals in July 1990 still using The Cranberry Saw Us name - Release of 'Nothing Left At All' single |
