OVERVIEW
Cocophone is an alternative folk band based in Dublin. The group was originally formed by Freya Monks [Vocals, Keyboards, Violin & Tambourine] and Fin Divilly [Vocals & Guitar]. Since then, the band's number has swelled to five. The extra members are Shane Glynn [Viola, Drums & Piano], Alan Elliott [Bass Guitar] and Scott [Guitar & Keyboards].

The band started making waves in 2010 when they won the 'Becks Band Of The Year' competition in Slane. Later that year, the band released its debut EP enitled 'Special Offers'. The 4-track release included 'Glory Shoes', 'Hollow Tree' and 'Yellow Flower' as well as the title track.

Spurred on by the reception to the EP, the band headed into studio with Gavin Glass to record its debut album. The album, 'Reservoir' was released in September 2012. The band went on to perform at the Hard Working Class Heroes festival in October of that year.
