OVERVIEW Channel One are a four-piece band from Malahide. The group originally formed in 2002 as a five-piece featuring Paul O'Reilly [Vocals & Synths], Owen O'Mahony [Guitar, Vocals & Synths], Tosh Brady [Bass Guitar], Richie Bohan [Drums & Programming] and Al Baker [Guitar]. They spent the first eighteen months trying to find their own sound before starting to play live in 2004. Since then, Channel One have progressed quickly. In 2006, they contributed the track 'Not For The Last Time' to the Violation EP. The EP also featured The Things and Humanzi. In April, the band released their debut single, 'Accelerate; Brake'. This was followed by an appearance at the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in October. A further EP, 'Permissions' was released in 2007. The band's status was further enhanced by their appearance at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas in 2008. The next 12 months was a quiet period as the band recorded what was to become their debut album. 'Sound To Light' was finally released to critical acclaim in November 2009. Since 2011, Paul and Owen have been performing as Forrests. 2002 - Band formed 2006 - Release of 'Violation' E.P. which features 'Not For The Last Time'.
