OVERVIEW Caz9 is the stage name for Caroline O'Neill who has been active on the Irish music for many years. She first came to attention as part of the group Eden along with Lynn Hilary and Lorna Kennedy - which was really a covers/harmonies band. She went on to front The Cazettes who were also involved in the party band circuit. All this time, Caroline was a singer-songwriter in her own right. In 2016, she emerged as Caz9 with a change in musical direction. Now a fully-fledged electro-pop artist, Caz9 was ready to take the scene by storm. In February 2017, Caroline launched her debut EP, 'Phase II' with a gig at Whelens. The EP featured 6 tracks in total -'Running', 'Everything', 'Get Closer', 'Work With', 'Want To Wake' and 'Boss Lady'. The EP received a really positive critcal response. The Last Mixed Tape summarised that 'the weighty synth heavy production and slow beats of Caz9’s debut really do flicker with some truly great moments'. 2016 - Caz9 emerges on the scene 2017 - Release of 'Phase II' EP [11 February] |
