Echoes of U.S. college rock belie a rich vein of yearning torch-pop on the Irish five piece's second album. At their best, they write spin-stroking, melancholy melodies with a sense of dramatics that suggest ambitions for Radiohead-esque hugeness. The fact they often live up to such comparisons is praise enough.
