Of Catchers I know nothing, but 'Cotton Dress' is so blissfully beautiful that I long to listen and succumb to its manifold charms without having to undertake the tiresome battle with language to convince you of its merits. So, then.

'Cotton Dress' is exquisite, an imaginary perfect moment gorgeously recalled in tranquility by a honey-toned girl with apple bruises on her thighs over a truly Marr-like guitar waltz. It's divine, yet disturbing. 'Life screams its fury from your eyes/ All jaded and alive'- our mystery poet sighs.

Catchers, for all their lightness of touch, are heavy with intimations of mortality. 'Cotton dress' is the thought-spell which will dance around your head for days. Days? Make that aeons!

Catchers are sublime, enchanting, and some strange kind of wonderful.

An Irish pop outfit with a gorgeous sense of melody who have been away for far too long. But that's okay because their songs have just got more beautiful in their absence, and this the first will charm wild animals into weak submission. Once again, the highly emotive style of their material will tug mercilessly at the old heart strings. A gentle ballad that develops into a drama of Hammond organs and distinctively sharp chord patterns. True perfection.
