OVERVIEW The Candidates is a Dublin-based funk band. While the line up has changed over the years, the current membership includes Ruth Kennington [Keyboards & Vocals], Ciarán Keogh [Percussion], Ciarán Duffy [Tenor Sax], Deane Bowles [Trumpet & Flute], Graham Heaney [Bass Guitar], Mark Leddy [Guitar & Vocals], Tim Higgins [Drums & Vocals], Gordon Purdy [Trumpet], Oli Stimpson [Alto Sax], Alison Reynolds [Tenor Sax] and Fiona McHugh [Trumpet].
