DUN LAOGHAIRE, DUBLIN DATES
OVERVIEW
Born and bred in the coastal town of Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, Ireland, Susan Bluechild has come from a strong musical background, her mother and older sister are trained classical pianists, and her second cousin is Sultans of Ping lead singer Niall O'Flaherty. At the age of 11, Susan was already learning the piano, and soon branched out to sing vocals with various Dublin bands.

Keen to experiment with her early song writing potential, she headed for the bright lights of London to obtain the support necessary to launch a career. Once based in London, Susan sought out various musicians to write and record demos with, and spent time training with opera aficionado Tony Norton of the famous Irish Tenors. She spent many years gigging the pubs and clubs of the UK, singing her own material and also working her apprenticeship as an entertainer in nightclubs.

Heading back to Ireland she realised the enormous opportunities afforded by the Irish independent music scene and set about releasing her debut single 'Summer Girls' through UK independent MPV Records. The single hit the Irish airwaves in the winter of 2002 and was playlisted on all the major radio stations including RTE2 FM who had it on their playlist for 5 weeks. Live TV appearances included The Den and Open House.

Unfortunately a major personal tragedy put the brakes on her then developing career, but now she's back!

Susan had interest in this downtime to use her music for artists such as UK acts Atomic Kitten, Blue and US no.1 female artist Hilary Duff, but planning her own return and feeling confident she decided to save the material for the album she knew would be happening.

Her debut album 'NON STOP TO VENUS' is now being released through her own independent label Naughty Recordings, which she runs with her manager. The album is scheduled for release in September 2006, with the first single 'If Only' hitting the radio waves in June 2006, second single 'Sunrise' will be released in August 2006.
