SLIGO 1997 -
OVERVIEW
Perry Blake was born Kieran Gorman in Sligo. He was involved in music from an early age playing in bands such as Clark's Gable and Perry Coma. He settled on the Perry Blake name in the second part of the 1990s and hasn't looked back since. His sound takes a number of influences including pop, jazz and cabaret. His songs are skillfully crafted and delicately sung.

Since he first emerged on the scene in 1997 with the release of his debut single 'The Hunchback Of San Francisco', he has gone on to build a loyal following throughout Ireland, UK and Frnace in particular. He has recorded a total of 7 albums to date - 'Perry Blake' [1998], 'Still Life' [1999], 'Broken Statues' [2001], 'California' [2002], 'Songs For Someone' [2004], 'The Crying Room' [2005] and 'Canyon Songs' [2007]. The albums have produced some wonderful musical moments including 'Genevieve', 'Ordinary Day', 'This Life' and 'Gemini'.

Perry's downtempo style is particularly suited to film soundtracks and it's not surprising that his music has provided the backfrop to films such as 'Presque Rien' [2000] and 'Trois Petites Filles'.

More recently, Perry has been working on an electronic project entitled Electro Sensitive Behaviour along with collaborators Glenn Garrett and Graham Murphy.
