DUBLIN 1998 - 2002
OVERVIEW
B*Witched was a hugely successful girl band which was active during the late 1990s and early 2000s. The line up featured twin sisters Edele and Keavy Lynch who are sisters of Shane Lynch from Boyzone. The line up was completed by Linssay Armaou and Sinéad O'Carroll. The band had been known as D'Zire and Sister in earlier incarnations but eventually settled on B*Witched.

The band burst onto the scene in 1998 with the first four singles all topping the UK singles chart. This was a first for an all-girl band. This first batch of releases included 'C'est La Vie', 'Rollercoaster', 'To You I Belong' and 'Blame In On The Weatherman'. 'C'est La Vie' also charted well in the US, reaching #9.

The band went on to release two full length albums - 'B*Witched' [1998] and 'Awake And Breathe' [1999]. The quartet also released 3 further singles - 'Jesse Hold On', 'I Shall Be There' and 'Jump Down' - as well as the US-only EP, 'Across America 2000'.

The band had been working on a third album, however, the band was dropped by its record label in 2002. While the band did look to sign with another label, this did not, ultimately, materialise. B*Witched subsequently split in September of 2002.

Since the band split, Lindsay looked to launch a solo career. However, she is not known to have released any material. In May 2007, she joined Clayton, a UK-based band. The Lynch twins performed for a period as Ms. Lynch before becoming Barbarellas who released the album 'Night Mode' in 2011.
