OVERVIEW The Blizzards was an alternative band from Mullingar which was active throughout the 2000s. The group was formed in 2003 and featured a line up of Niall Breslin [Vocals & Guitar], Aidan Lynch [Guitar, Vocals & Keyboards], Justin Ryan [Lead Guitar & Vocals], Anthony Doran [Bass Guitar] and Declan Murphy [Drums]. The band merged together elements of ska, rock and pop to create a sound that brought them a huge following throughout the country. During its career, the band released two albums - 'A Public Display Of Affection' [2006] and 'Domino Effect' [2008]. Each of the records was filled with radio-friendly rock-pop classics including - 'Trouble', 'Miss Fantasia Preaches', 'War Of Words', 'Fantasy' and 'Trust Me I'm A Doctor'. The band also built a reputation as a great live band and made regular appearances through the country and were mainstays at festivals such os Oxegen. When the band split in 2010, Niall went on to forge a solo career [as Bressie] releasing his debut solo album, 'Colourblind Stereo' in 2011.
