| Blink hail from Ireland. Their early singles,
Is God Really Groovy and It's Not My Fault,
suggested this young quartet would one day
be part of their country's proud musical
heritage, mixing the best parts of Carter
USM, EMF and A House in a fun-filled and
feisty melange of scratchy guitars and twentysomething
angst. Both songs are included here, though
their frenetic naivety is dulled somewhat
by below average student disco fodder like
Fundamentally Loveable Creature and Christmas
22. Sadly, it's these, plus a plethora of
similar tracks that dominate Blink's debut.
But, hell, they're keen young tykes and there's
still plenty of time to craft that timeless
classic. |
