OVERVIEW The Black Tokens were a Belfast-based Indie Rock Group. The band was formed in in 2004 by Stuart Murphy (Bass Guitar), Mike Kent (Drums) and Paddy Steele (Guitar). In early 2005, Stephen Hill (Guitar) and Niall Graham (Vocals) were added to the line up. In 2006, 'The Black Tokens E.P. 1' was released. The band toured extensively throughout 2007 and their second E.P. was sold at these gigs. By 2008, Graham had been replaced by Matt McCrum on vocals and Guitar. The full line up at this stage was Matt McCrum (Vocals & Guitar), Stephen Hill (Guitar & Keyboards), John Rossi (Bass Guitar & Vocals) and Mike Kent (Drums & Percussion). The band relased one final E.P. featuring 'Don't You Dare' and 'Bet Your Life' before calling it a day in June 2008.
