WATERFORD 200x - 2011
OVERVIEW
Black Robots was a punk rock / grunge band from Waterford. The group featured Dean O'Sullivan [aka Deen O'Saurus] [Vocals & Guitar] and Sarah Grimes [Drums & Vocals]. Deen had prevously played with Waterford bands Dinosaur Petshop and Percolator. There is little known about this band. However, the band did appear at the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in 2009. In 2011, the band was forced into a name change after a complaint from US band Black Robot. The Waterford pair renamed the group BL_CK R_B_TS.

In February of that year, the pair released 'Farewell Black Robots'. This was to be the first (and last) release from the band. However, the track 'Better' did later appear on the 'One Day : Music Compilation' compilation. Since the split, Deen has been focusing on his solo material. Sarah joined up with former members of Talulah Does The Hula to form September Girls.
