OVERVIEW
Berries Blue was a folk rock-band based in Cork. The group centred around tbe duo of Marlene Enright [Vocals & Keyboards] and Pat Carey [Guitar & Vocals]. Marlene met Pat while they were studying music in University College Cork. The pair were often joined by satellite members Dave Duffy [Double Bass & Bass Guitar], Dave Ryan [Drums], Aisling Fitzpatrick [Cello], James Fortune [Guitar], Hugh Dillon [Guitar] and Deirdre Carey [Backing Vocals].

The band released one EP during career. That EP was entitled 'Drinkin' To Heaven' and featured 'Tired Man', 'Back Road' and 'Rainbow Rain' as well as the title track. By 2011 Dave Duffy and Dave Ryan had become almost permanent members and the band changed its name to The Hard Ground.
