OVERVIEW To understand the history of BellaJane you need to go back to 2005 when Sarah Jane Langan [Vocals, Piano, Rhodes & Glockenspiel] and Cian Murphy [Bass Guitar] had been playing as a duo. The pair quickly recruited drummer Dennis Cassidy. At this time, the trio was known as Fashionista. There are no known releases from this outfit. In 2008, BellaJane was formed and Shane Holly was recruited. 2009 saw the band enter the studio to record some material. The result of these sessions was seen in April 2010 with the release of the 'No Strings Attached' EP. The four track collection featured 'Marionette', 'Egg Shells', 'Wait' and 'Man Overboard'. In more recent times, Shane has been performing with Rhob Cunningham as part of his Our Little Secrets project. 2008 - Band formed 2010 - Release of 'No Strings Attached' EP [15 April]
