CORK | LONDON 1988 - 1989
OVERVIEW
Beethoven was a Cork-born, London-based band with featured Finbarr Donnelly [Vocals] and Ricky Dineen [Guitar]. The pair had previously played together in Nun Attax and Five Go Down To The Sea. This group came together in the latter part of the 1980s. The band released their debut EP, 'Him Goolie Goolie Man Dem' on the fledgling London-based Setanta Records label. Set up by Keith Cullen, this record label did a lot to promote up and coming Irish bands through the late 1980s and the 1990s. Beethoven's EP was the first release on the label.

However, tragedy was to strike as Donnelly drowned shortly after the release of this EP.
