DUBLIN | TIPPERARY 198x - 19xx
OVERVIEW
Any Crowded Ceiling was a 1980s indie-pop band. The band started out as a four-piece guitar-pop band. However, over time, the group slimmed down to a electonic-influenced duo. That duo was Daniel Prendiville and Andrew Buttterfield. Any Crowded Ceiling released a 4-track EP entitled 'Rubber Soul' in 1989. The cassette release included 'Designer Hangover', 'Pigtown', 'Reclining Nude No. 39' and 'Duvet Resident'. The band contributed the latter two tracks to Comet Record's 'Comtape 7' compilation later that year. The 'Nationwide • 3' compilation also included 'Alpha 90' by the band.

Some time after this, the band split with Prendiville going on to pursue a solo career. He has continued to make and release music with albums such as 'Tantrum Ego' [1999], 'Good Riddance' [2000] and 'Optimism 1 - Experience 0' [2011].

In 2003, 'Catalogue 90' was released on Rencheque Recordings.
