OVERVIEW
Named after a Cambodian temple complex, Angkorwat is the name chosen by Niamh Corcoran for her mesical persona. Originally from Down, Niamh is now based in Dublin. She has a strong musical background as a classically trained violinist and pianist. She possess a similar passion ro explore new musical avenues. In 2009, as she was completing a BA in English Literature And Film Studies at Trinity College, she swapped her violin and piano for a Mac Book and started writing and recording music as Angkorwat.

One of her early recordings, 'Big/Little Edie' was picked up by The Wire magazine and included on 'Tapper 22'. In November of the following year, she released her debut EP. The 8-track collection was simply titled 'Early EP' and included 'Big/Little Edie' as well as the likes of 'My Three Beautiful Children', 'Ciccone Snap' and 'Sink'. In 2013, she contributed a new track, 'I Hope He Had' to 'The Outer Church' compilation.
