FINGLAS, CO. DUBLIN 2012 -
OVERVIEW
Anderson is the stage name for Daniel Anderson. If you think you've heard of him before, you might be right. He spent 6 years as the front man with acclaimed band The Rags. When that group came to an end in the wake of the release of its debut album he had to reasses his position. Having worked on the sites previously, did his future hold a return to labouring. What happened next is a tribute to the artistic spirit and an advertisement ot the DIY approach to music making. After inheriting a plot, Daniel built a studio at the end of his uncle's garden in Leixlip. It was there that his debut solo album was conceived.

With a new album in the can but no record label behind him, Daniel took a very DIY approach to selling his album - he sold it door to door. In fact Colm Russell directed a short film, 'Door To Door Sales Will Save The Music Industry' Which chronicled Daniel's efforts to bring his art to the masses. As it turns out, he never came to my front door. I would have been an easy sell. Instead I had to find my copy in one of those all too rare 'record shops'.

'Patterns' is a wonderful record that brings you back to the pop and rock greats of the 1960s and 1970s. If he calls to your door, give him €20 - you won't regret what you get in return.
